I am an 18 year old college sophomore. I completed my senior year of high school and my freshman year of college concurrently. I am a vocal performer in a group called Project Peace. This group creates original hip-hop music that is based on social issues, such as violence and substance abuse, and performs at several different venues including local schools. I am a mentor for junior high school students in a Project Peace pilot program named Camp Skills. I am a youth staff of the Rhode Island Teen Institute (RITI), a leadership traning designed to prevent substance abuse. I am also President of the RITI Youth Advisory Board. I am a mentor in the Pawtucket Leadership and Mentoring Program. I am the secretary of the National Youth Council.

Some people may say I do too much but I enjoy helping people in my community and I take on new projects whenever anyone needs my help. One project was a Peace Week initiative that took place over 5 days in three schools. The week's activities included a pledge day, an education day, a day of silence, a peace assembly, and a peace rally.
