I made an account on brickfish for the sole purpose of trying to get scholarship money for myself so I can afford to go to an art school after I graduate this year.  If I make a few friends here, well, thats cool.  But  I myself being an artist, only go to the community for artists.  If your all about art, and not about making friends with random people you do not know, but getting to know them and have fun expressing yourself, I suggest you become apart of the DeviantArt community. 

I hate places like Myspace, Facebook, and any other places like that.  At least with brickfish, theres a scholarship and art purpose here, so it's definatley better.  I do also happen to love the support of stangers here too. -^^- it's very heart warming.  Of course I know I will get to a point if I have not already that people will wanna be friends with you soley for the purpose of votes.  but hey, thats why I go on DA, not places like MySPace where that exists.  However I have yet to have a friend here whom I think does that, so so far, this site gets a B grade from me XP.
