I came across this website when I was searching for scholarships. I'm trying to go to grad school for interior architecture and design. My favorite hobbies involve design - art, crafts, photography, architecture. I am also into music, writing and hiking.

Dreams
My childhood (5-yrs-old) dream and solution for world peace was to travel to every country in the world and make at least one friend in each country. It's an idea that I still think will work, if only I had enough funds and vacation time from work. The initial dream has been modified to include people I meet here whose native country is outside the US. Making friends in every state in the US was included in the initial dream and is easier since the invention of the internet.
My childhood friend and long-ago neighbor, Julie Gold, wrote the song "From a Distance". We started that song on her front lawn when we were in the sixth grade. The Vietnam War was going on and everybody was talking about the need for world peace. "From a distance, you look like my friend, even though we are at war..." I'm so glad that Julie finally finished the song and that it became a hit, because that was her dream and she included my dream in her song.
