Description:
STAR/PAL is a San Diego nonprofit organization providing free youth programs and positive interaction with committed volunteers that include law enforcement officers, firefighters, local athletes and community partners. STAR/PAL understands the importance of positive role models in young adult's lives and they'd like to know, "Who is Your Hero?" Submit a photo with a description, blog (with pics if you like) or video featuring the person in your life you consider a hero. Share your story and pay it forward! You could make a difference.
Rewards:
- Grand Prize: One winner, selected by STAR/PAL from the top 250 entries with the highest score, will have a donation of $500 made in their name to STAR/PAL. Plus, the winner will receive a $500 scholarship or cash and some cool San Diego Police and Fire Department swag!
- Runner-Up: One winner, selected by STAR/PAL from the top 250 entries with the highest score, will win a $200 scholarship or cash.
- Most Viral: One winner, selected by STAR/PAL from the top 250 Most Viral entries, will win a $200 scholarship or cash. Learn about Most Viral.

How to Submit:
- Submit a photo with a detailed description, write a blog (with photos if you'd like) or create a video featuring the hero in your life.
- Click the Submit Entry tab and follow the steps provided.
- Tell your friends to come to Brickfish and vote for your entry!
Requirements:
All entries must be the original creation of the participant. Entry must be a photo, video or blog that represents your personal hero. Videos must be no longer than 2 minutes and blogs must be no more than 1,000 words. All entries must include in the description or video why that person is the entrant's hero. Enter as many unique entries as you’d like. Please do not submit duplicate entries. By entering a photo, blog or video of your “hero” you represent that you have obtained all permissions necessary to post them on the Internet. Any entry that violates copyright protection or the Brickfish Terms of Use will be disqualified and removed.
