Who I'am? I have a passion for life, people and fundraising for causes. I sing annually for Easter Seals and Muscular Dystropy and hope in the future to be well known enough to be an asset to both and add St.Jude's children's fund. People say God gave me a lot of gifts, one being my vocal ability, I try to give to others from the gifts I have received. Singing for good causes to help others is important to me. I'm a person who is very easy to get along with. I roll with change, and usually never get mad at anyone very easily. Even if I do its only for a day until my head cools back off and we are best friends again! I'm a singer at heart, I love to feel music. My heart actually beats with the drums while i'm listening to music!
My life has always been simple, I have alot of stuff around me that maybe others wouldn't call much but I would. I have a roof over my head, a computer, a family that loves me and a friskey spirit, who could ask for more?
As far as how I act, It switches with my mood, sometimes I act silly, serious, playful, loving, deep, I can be anything my friends need me to be. I can be their strength or there to losen them up when they are worried. This could be why I make friends so easy, but I've never really asked any of my friends why we clicked so fast! I'd like to think of myself as smart, I'm taking two Advanced placement classes at my high school, but really being smart has nothing to do with the grades you get. It all depends on your follow through, and your incentive to " get it done"!
I'm a very determined person, when I want something that means alot to me, I do all I can to go for it. The thing I really want now is to win & sing with Rascal Flatts. What a plus for Easter Seals and Muscular Dystropy to say I did! Just being able to say I sang with Rascal Flatts could help boost attendance and help a lot of needy kids. Something that changed my life was a car accident I was in the age of four. It was pretty bad, i had the seatbelt around my stomach when it should have been around my hips. I was lucky because most children die from internal organ injuries, but I didn't leave unphased. I all of a sudden had new pains i'd never known before. Pain shot down through my legs all the time, i couldn't get to active with out getting the shooting pains worse and worse. I went to soo many doctors, none of which could figure out what was wrong with me. I had two pain blocks where the doctors stuck huge needles directly into my spine and shot in pain killers to numb the nerves that went down to my legs so i could try to be a normal child and do normal things. I had about thirteen Mri's!! After 8 1/2 years after my car accident finally one doctor solved my mystery. Part of my back had been broken so that little chunks of bone were surrounding the nerves that went to my legs. There was so much pressure on the nerves that they were close to being severed. Its scary to think that if that doctor hadn't found my facture I could have been in a wheel chair for the rest of my life. So the doctor put me in a cast to stablize my back and help the fracture heal. I wore it for 7 1/2 months and now am up and ready for action.During my down period of almost 9 years, I sang alot to pass the time. It was something fun that I had always been fair at since I could talk!
I am in Jazz to learn to move where I used to be afraid to because it would hurt! Now I swim, can life guard, scuba dive and sing and much more! Thanks for listening and voting for me! ! Joanna "Myseptembermoon"
