Hi! I'm Erika. I go by Erie as well. I'm 16 and in college. I started to draw in late August of 2006. I have been very fortunate to have gotten into an AP Portfolio class and also be one of the runner ups for Governor's School for the Fine Arts out of my entire state.
I haven't been trained in art. I did take a few art classes besides AP in high school but my teacher was absent almost the whole time, and I never did any drawing outside of school. For some reason I just sat down one day and started to do it. I won't say I'm "talented" but I do believe that I was given a gift to see objects and put them on paper so easily, and that I am furthering the gift with growing the skill with more skill. Since this school year I cannot take any art courses, as they haven't any at my community college, I'm reading all the art books I can and talking to as many artists as I can to learn techniques and any info I can to better my skills.
My other interests include spiritualism, writing, reading, violin, piano, music in general, the paranormal, school, people, dancing, and martial arts. I love learning ^^ I hate being non-productive. It's been tough with OCD and bipolar disorder but even with the two, I have maintained a well balanced life and have a great drive to succeed even more.
