                                                                        The  Blind Bet
Monica was a lonely girl who never had any luck with love. She never found a guy she clicked with and refused to let anyone try to set her up. One night she decided that she needed some help and advice so she called her best friend Chloe.
“I just think you need to stop being afraid and put yourself out there more.” Said Chloe on the phone. “Stop being so afraid of falling in love.”
“But I am not afraid, there are just too many losers. Show me one guy that’s not going to disappointment me and maybe I’ll stop being so down on myself.” Monica said in defense.
“Wanna bet money on it?” asked Chloe.
“Whatever, if I meet the man for me I owe you $100,” Monica said with a laugh.
“So it looks like you won’t be getting any money from me any time soon.”
Chloe just laughed and told Monica they desperately needed a  Girls Night Out for some Girl Talk and Too Much Wine.
Monica put on her flirtatious little black dress and of course her shiny sexy lip gloss. As she walked out the door that evening she knew she was lookin’ good. She couldn’t wait to take the town and go to her favorite restaurant, Vegas Nights. When she got to the restaurant where she was planning to meet Chloe, she was no where in sight. Monica looked around anxiously and finally asked the Hostess if anyone from her reservation party had called,
“No they haven’t, but I do have a table for two reserved under your name. In fact your fellow guest has already arrived. May I take you to your seat?” asked the hostess.
“Yes,” she said “that would be nice.”
As Monica followed the hostess across the dining room she noticed the most gorgeous man she had ever laid on eyes on. She kept hoping to herself that her table would be near his. They kept getting closer and closer until to her amazement, arrived at his table.
“You must be Monica”, said the extremely handsome man.
“Well yes, yes I am, said Monica with an innocent blush and a confused look.
“Well I am sorry for being so rude and not introducing myself. My name is Ryan. I am friends with your friend Chloe’s husband. She had to back out of your girls night so she sent me.” Monica laughed nervously. She didn’t know if she wanted to punch Chloe or give her a big hug.
As the night unfolded Monica began to feel very comfortable with her new friend. He told her the stories of the girls that had stood him up and how he just wanted to find the girl for him. They talked all through dinner and into the wee hours of the night. As Ryan leaned in for their first kiss Monica could not keep the smile off her face. She couldn’t wait to call Chloe and thank her. Ryan asked Monica if he could see her again so she kissed him on the cheek and said yes.
“Oh by the way”, Ryan said, “Monica asked me to remind you about that money you owe her.”
