Well, with me being a songwriter since I was 12 I know that there are only so many songs you can write about Politics, Mother Earth, or War.  Although those are GREAT topics, it seems to me the main thing written about in music is Love, Life, & Heartbreak.  I'm not sure if with "Brickfish" it has to be somehow politics related, but if not then these are my ideas:

1) The best song about "Heartbreak" or a break ups in general.  Or even Who has the best “Revenge” song. 

2) A song about someone overcoming a deadly disease.

3) A song about Homeless & Starvation in the world.

4)  A song about someone with an Alcohol or Drug addiction. 

5) A song about pursuing your Dreams. 

6) A song about a "Bad Roommate" situation. 

7) A song about your mother or Father, Sister or Brother. 

8) The best Love song.

9) A song that just makes you cry when you hear it. 

10) A song about the seasons, You could do 1 for contest for Winter, Spring, Summer, & Fall separately in their own categories.  (Which best describes the feeling of Winter, etc…).

11) & last, but not least...A song that just makes you Happy & want to smile when you hear it.

These are just some of my ideas.  I've written MANY songs & these are just some of the issues that inspired me to write.  I could list many more, but that would go on forever..   I'm sure other singer/songwriters would have some amazing songs to contribute to any of these categories as well.  :)  I'd be interested to hear them & share mine as well.
