All right what rock star do i want to meet, well i would love to meet them all but if i had to make a choice i would have to say Otep Shamaya, and Marilyn Manson. I have to have these two, i can't choose one.
My choices are some of the most unpredictable people in the business. This crazy world of fashion and popularity mean nothing to them. They are who they are, nothing will change that, i respect them for that. most other bands sell out to style and become something they are not that's sad.

I was introduced to Manson when i was 14, my brother brought home a tape yes i said tape that a friend had recorded for him, we put it in my boom box and cranked it the feeling was raw and i loved it. i could feel it and it felt good. Manson may bother a lot of people but that is because you can't feel him, he is real and he gives his all. every record he has put out has grown with him, we all go threw stages in life .

Manson was something i could relate to, he had a mystery about him that drew me in. A life force as you will. I would love to sit down with him drink some absinthe then ask my questions, the man is brilliant and loves to share his knowledge and feelings. plus i would love to tour his house i bet it is amazing.
the first time i saw Manson live was 1997 it was great, a gift form a friend of mine. we went to the show and got badgered by news and evangelicals outside the energy center. they wanted to interview everyone i just walked by and in. Manson came on i was standing in the mosh pit, my heart raced and the music was playing there was a big podium on stage he came out and started talking and as he was talking he was ripping pages out of the book and throwing them in the crowd then the music changed and it was beautiful people we all jumped and started screaming the song it was amazing. i loved every minute of it one of the best shows in my life i will never forget it.
moving on what can i say about Otep Shamaya well she is very secretive, when asked her age she says 5 life times old, no one really knows much about her. The facts are she had a rough childhood mental and physical, she is an open lesbian, and a great poet. She has done some readings on HBO, if you get the chance check them out they are beautiful.

The first time i heard of Otep was in 2000 at Ozzfest they were on the second stage, she got up there and drew me in. i focused on her and listened the feelings were intense i could feel her rage, pain and hate. the scares she carries i could feel and the pain was very real. i was amazed i didn't even mosh i listened to the whole set then went and picked up the CD Sevas Tra, it kicked some major a$%.

So if i had the chance to meet Otep Shamaya I would love to meet her in a voodoo village she does a lot of voodoo curses in her songs. i would love to learn about her life what are her plans and what is going on with the new CD that was suppose to be released months ago. i look forward to the new record and many more to come.

Shamaya is one tough women and if my daughter idolized anyone i would hope it be her, someone who is real and cares not what society, or anyone else for that matter thinks.

thanks for your time have a great day. ;)
