brickfish has contests that showcase art and blogs...i was wondering if there is anyone out there that still writes poetry.  i, in the not so distant past started to dabble in writing and found it to be very therapeutic at that given time and have recently been feeling like starting to write a bit more.  i thought i would post a couple of poems that i have written and see if anyone has any thoughts about them or if anyone else would like to share theirs?!  ok, so here goes - i'm going to put forth my personal writings for public display...be gentle!  (p.s. i haven't quite figured out the tricks to make this look "fancy" as of yet)

Unity                          
Letting go, giving in
A growth from inside
Joining you in love
Sharing in life
Growing as one

Embracing you
Feeling your warmth
Our souls entwined
Exploding with passion
Illuminating the abyss

Ascending to a higher place
Enlightenment thru each other
Achieving fulfillment
A life of perfection

Calling                                 
Feel the flood throughout
Warm, knowing the unknown
Trusting, wanting to give in
To feel the embrace

Feeling the pull
Longing to give in
Searching for the knowledge
Giving in

This is much larger than me
Overwhelmingly familiar
Feeling the embrace
Answering the calling

The path opens before me
Bathed in the light
Moving with steady uncertainty

Broken Trust          
Ringing in my ears
Pounding in my chest
The world is spinning and I can’t keep my ground
All of our memories
Every moment shared
Flash before me with urgent resound
My world has been silenced
Abandoned & utterly alone
Want to reach out and not a soul around
Lost in confusion no light in sight
Desperately clinging to what I believe to be true
My world’s reality is steadily unraveling
As I grasp at the threads
Help me
Guide me
Show me
Embrace me
Save me
