I have always worked on a PC starting in college. About 8 years ago I decided to buy my first 'personal' computer. It was a Sony GRX series and like alot of 'first' purchases I purchased it from a major retailer and paid way too much for what I got! Live and learn! Shortly after my purchase the 3d bug bit me and I've been hooked ever since. After 7 years of viewing online tutorials and forums I'm feeling more comfortable with it and really starting to see the results of my efforts. I do have to say that since I have been doing my 'art' with a PC I have constantly been bombarded with 'you should be working on one of those other machines for this type of work.' I have even had people view my work and offer employment and then retract when I said my work is all PC. Even here on Brickfish I have run into this!!! Could this be true or is it a 'stigma' (anyone know that word) in the design/graphics community about PC's? Regardless of what people say, "ALL" my work has been done with a PC and of course it is great to stay up to date with my hardware as I try to do with my software. I've picked an HP model as I currently have one and am really impressed with it. I need a powerful workstation to run my programs and I need it to be mobile as I am nomadic, like a gypsy!!! go Madonna!!! Of course I'd love to try Windows 7 and 64 bit is the only way to go if your using engineering CAD like programs, 3D, or gaming. 64bit platforms allows for usage of greater amounts of memory, 8GB as compared to about 2GB on a 32 bit machine. This makes for quicker render times for animations and stills in 3d and also quicker respone with any modeling and interactive rendering. The processor has 4 cores with mutiple threads for creating animations and editing video, etc. Since the 64bit recognizes large amounts of RAM, 8 gigs should be enough to handle anything I might need to do. The programs I use most frequently recommend NVIDIA graphics cards and I've had good luck with them. The CUDA sounds like something you might catch from an irresponsible evening but it allows complex real-time raytracing, video encoding and interactive volume rendering. The SATA drive is high performance, low power consumption and lightweight with a good amount of space for me. I love and need a high resolution screen and built in WiFi. The Webcam and Fingerprint reader are extras I like. The Bluray DVD RW would be awesome for outputing my animations. The price tag is TERRIFYING, but a guy can dream!!! peace and love ps Original image created using 3d laptop and some abstract objects. Volumetric lighting was used. The image was done on a windows vista 64 bit. It took about 4 hours just to render! That awesome wallpaper you see on the laptop and also on the side borders of this page was created by me and I sell a pack of 20 original unique tileable high- resolution wallpaper for $4.99. Each image contains an unnoticeable copyright. Let me know if your interested!!!

Hi everyone,
That was some of the quickest shopping I've ever done.....
I love this shirt and I need it because it will go with any of my jeans and look great. I also love that it has long sleeves and I can get it in white. I have a very fair complexion and I really try to wear sleeves all the time to help cut down on sun exposure. White will be great because it will help to keep cooler in the hot days of summer ahead. I also love the design on the shirt.
I hate shopping at malls so it would be great to win this beautiful top online in a contest!
Thanks for reading and goodluck to everyone.
Love and PEACE...
