I am growing more and more frustrated at girls of all ages who don't respect their body and throw themselves at men to feel desired and better about themselves. There are so many more ways to boost your self-esteem and confidence than opening yourself up to such scary and undesirable things like VD and pregnancy. I know some girls who don't think kissing a guy and sleeping with him are any different. There are huge differences! The consequences and risks are dramatically different- not alone the emotional repercussions. I know girls who don't even know how many people they've been with any more. This is the underwear they should have permanently attached to them. And in addition (from my previous blog) People of all ages think they are safe from everything. It is really sad to see girls and guys use sex as a means of passing time, getting to know each other, and making themselves feel more grown up. Statistically one in every two people has had some kind of an STD and even worse is the one in two people act like STDs don't exist. Maybe HIV has been used to scare people so much that it actually lost it's edge. But there are so many more STDs that are much more prevalent and can and will cause very serious side effects. Who wants their pee to burn? Who wants their private area to stink like the sewers in third world countries? Bumps caused by herpes and warts and not only disgusting but scary. The fact that HPV may cause cancer should be a huge reason not to pull your pants down at the first sign of a hard on. I once had a teacher say a really empowering thing, "People are not cars, they don't need to be test driven
