Cheerleading was the sport that really changed my life. I had joined the cheerleading squad about a few months before I got pregnant with my son. My coach talked to me about the pregnancy and many of the parents wanted to kick me off the squad because they felt I wasn't a good role model. Fortunately I had a great coach and she fought for me to stay on the team. There was no rule that said cheerleaders couldn't be mothers. Cheerleading helped me stay on the right path. I knew if I wanted to be a cheerleader and show all those parents that I was a good role model I'd have to do great and school, raise my son, and be a cheerleader! Fortunately I did it all :) I graduated with honors, my boyfriend and I have raised our son to be a handsome healthy child, and I got to cheer!
