Today, the storm rolled in I slid open the screen door The wind rushed onto my face as if it was expecting me And stepped outside with my bare feet The brick patio was cold, yet ever-so inviting I strolled calmly to the lawn I listened to the soft crunch of the grass on my feet My eyes scanned the scene I looked up, and fell back Focused on a spot in the sky My brain began to fly A million and one thoughts ran through my head Why couldn't I be like a cloud They roll so freely through the endless blue They change so freely in the limitless eternity Why am I so much like the ground I'm stuck in a spot and I can't move by myself I'm static in a world and I can't help myself My mind urged to jump out of my pathetic body And into the sky My body lay numb and stubborn And I suddenly realized I NEED CHANGE
