"i wanna grow up to be a policeman" "i wanna be a doctor so i can save lives just like one saved mine" those are all really great and all but do you really know those people? doesn't everybody have a dark side? my hero is one not often thought of-an ordinary, everyday person. she was the homecoming queen of my sophomore year. not the prettiest or the smartest, but always put others before herself. trust me when i say, she really deserved the title of homecoming queen. she was in practically every club known to man...at our school at least....and probably in some known to dolphin as well. she was a class officer and volunteered, she was in the marching band and anything else you could imagine. (she currently attends JMU and is in the marching band there.)

she really has to be my hero. there's nobody else i can possibly think of that's given that much back to everybody else she's come in contact with over the span of her life. i bet everybody can name that one person that they really don't know too well, but occasionally talk with. you know, the kind of person i'm talking about- the do-it-all help-the-world kim possible type of person. they seem pretty heroic to you i bet-maybe not the most influential or whom you'd write you blog about, but you realize how much they deserve recognition. i'm really glad she won homecoming queen-it really made me smile and think about how much she had to do in order to be given such an award-its people like her that make you put life on hold and wonder if you could seriously do that much to help out the world. i know this is kind of long...but if you stuck through it then thanks-i really think she deserves the recognition, as i'm sure you do. that is why she is mY hErO.

What would i buy with a $1000 shopping spree at Fred Segal's online beauty shop, you ask? Oh...I dunno.... maybe....:
First of all, I've gotta say I'm not a big "beauty shopper". I don't spend my life savings on beauty products, although most of the time they would come in handy. It's mainly because of the price.

The only thing that could be better than a bath and body works shopping spree would be this. $1000...it still baffles me. hey: what would you do with $1000 to a beauty shop? Lemme tell you.

The first thing I would buy would be the Bumble & Bumble Prep. This would be the perfect thing for me.
This detangles hair (and if you've seen my hairapy blog you'd know how much i need it in the morning .) It also says that it's good for makin ur hair look cool even when it's hot: perfect for me. My hair is a big knot most of the time unless i take a half hour straightening it. This would make life a lot easier.

I would also get the Big Brush Round & the Big Brush Porcupine.
The Big Round one (left) is just a really cool thing that could help style my hair, as well as the Porcupine one would. I just have a regular brush that's about ten years old. I think my hair deserves a little flair after a long period of using a dull, ordinary brush.

And the Bumble & Bumble Curl Conscious Cream? That is a must. It easily curls, and shapes hair into a neat stylish look. It gets rid of waves, which is a definite benefit. The description also says that it's a natural formula, so it never looks stiff.

<<Good stuff.

The Bumble & Bumble DeFrizz . The name says it all. Defrizz is another necessity in my life, yet it's too expensive to buy. With the shopping spree, I could buy this to help defrizz my wavy, uncontrolabe hair.

<perfect for my everyday life. i'm sure some of you can relate to this nightmare i go through.

I would also totally get the NARS eyeshadow collection. Yes, that's right: every single one. They just look sooooo cool: especially that nightlife color.

<amazing color. (you should check out the other colors. theyre so pretty.)

I would also get the pencil sharpener (NARS, too,) because like everything else, I'm lacking one of them too. Regular pencil sharpeners just dont cut it.

I would also most definitely get the Clarisonic MD Skin Care brush.

Does this not look cool, or what? It's like a...well its a skin care brush! It works more effectively than regular skin care products, and it has more options. It also keeps your skin more healthy! Talk about pure skin heaven.

There's probably a million other things I would get from this website!
But I've gotta go
thanks so much in advance for voting for me! please give me suggestions as to how i could make it better cause i really think i deserve to win (as does everyone.) if i can make it better then i have a chance so thanks!
I hope you've enjoyed reading my ....wishlist i guess

So i've been thinking of lots of scary things in this world. How have we all let them come to be a reality? One thing that totally scares me: Mika. What is this world coming to? So i hear he originates from the UK. ( http://www.mikasounds.com/uk.php ) What is that all about? He sounds gay. I watched his music video...Grace Kelly i think it's called. All I have to say is WOW. That scared the crap out of me. He reminded me of Michael Jackson....and rapists. That little girl in the video im pretty sure is his sister. What the hell is he doing to that poor child? It's also the most random video. Whenever I see that ad for the Chuck & Larry movie that's coming out soon, that song plays. (I assume it's in the movie.) It reminds me of how much I hate Mika. I usually tend to give people a chance when it comes to this sort of thing, but wow. I just can't stand listening to him. He just....scares me!
There's just no other way to put it. He scares the crap out of me. I hate being rude like this...but I just needed to vent to the world about how he should never be allowed to sing again. Anybody else feel this way?
p.s. Sorry to tell you, Mika, but you even look like a sexual predator.
Here are pictures of him to prove his creepiness...

here's even the grace kelly video on youtube. please watch and be afraid.

This seems to be an ongoing topic in my household for one reason or another. You can see in a fifties or sixties sitcom, for example, where my point is going. A sitcom has the ideal family: a mother, a father, and a child of each sex. The children, young or teen-aged, go to school. The father is the money maker-he goes to work every day and expects his dinner to be on the table when he arrives home. The wife-or better said, the housewife- does everything around the household. She cooks and cleans and is not tired in the least. In fact, when her husband arrives home, she has a picture-perfect smile on her face and asks how his day at work was. In reality, this would be considered a horrible fate. I know if I ever ended up like that, I would probably have to shoot myself.
A housewife does all of these things willingly at the start of the marriage, but as years go on, she realizes that this has become her permanent lifestyle. She does not have a smile on her face everyday as her husband comes home. Sometimes she is even so tired and suggests that the family goes out for a family friendly dinner! What a concept!  I find it funny how these wives were played out to be such pushovers and underachievers. As proven in today's society, women play a great roll in our everyday life and these sitcoms are completely obsolete. I would just like to say that I am proud of anything out of the ordinary that a women achieves, especially if they are a housewife, too. It is also amusing that I will probably end up like this when I am older and start my own family. (Of course with my job on the side. I'm not that old-fasioned.) Oh, the karma.

Mean Girls. This, sadly, is what I would consider to be one the most moving movies I have seen. This movie deals with a lot of topics that in today's girl-eat-girl world mean a lot. The three most popular girls in school. The girls who get all of the attention because of their money, chic sense of style, and hot bodies. Most girls can relate to this in one way or another. These girls are also not nice (Hence, "Mean Girls".) They torture those who are less popular and not as pretty by trash-talking them behind their backs. Everybody can relate to this in one way or another. You have probably told one friend about a hidious outfit another friend wore, or odd remark they said. It is not done intentionally, but one way or another, it is still done.
Lindsay Lohan plays a girl who just moves to the town where these specific mean girls live. She makes friends with less popular kids at the school and goes undercover as one of the popular girls. The plan is to find the weaknesses of these girls so they will lose their reign over the school. She accomplishes this very well: a little too well. Cady (Lohan) ruins their lives by making them fat, playing them against each other, and revealing their secrets. At the end of the movie, Cady realizes that high school should not have to be about trying to reach the top by hurting others. She tells the students who attend her school this during a popular dance. She changes the school by showing the students what they should really be spending their time doing: getting along with one another no matter what their appearances may seem. I found the moral of this story to be touching. It was amazing to see how even just one girl can change an entire school's thinking. If there were more people like this across the world, then there would not be as much hatred, jealousy, and violence as seen today. I hope that this blog gets many viewers so it can change their thinking about others. I hope it affects the world and their thinking about one another.
