It's not easy being Lena DeMattia, even her childhood was rough.
She grew up in Boston with parents who just moved to the US from Italy (yeah "off the boat").  Barely speaking a word of english, she was sent to a Catholic School and often got smacked for not understanding what was going on.

Every night she was responsible for cooking dinner for the family.  If it was burned, or not made correctly she was chased around the house with a wooden spoon.
To get away from it all, and to get out of the house, she married at the age of 18 to some huge asshole that treated her like dirt.

She got divorced and about 8 years later married my dad and eventually had 2 children.  At this point she thought her life was finally starting to look like a fairy tale. All she wanted was a perfect family and.... well, she didnt even come close!
As her first child, I'm almost normal with some slight exceptions.  But my little brother is the epitome of retarded. He stays up late plotting all the things he can do to torture my mom the next day.
On top of having him to deal with, she works in a hospital from 2am to 2pm monday through saturday. And...somewhere in there she has time to be at school in an attempt to advance within the hospital.  If she doesn't get a 90 or above on every assignment and test in the class, she doesnt pass AND loses her job.
Who knows HOW she manages to make dinner every night and clean every room of the house 3 times a week.

This woman CLEARLY needs a break! Her uh...perfect... life has spun completely out of control to the point where she has time for absolutely NOTHING! Help me give my mother a break from it all!!!!!
