I have played many sports in my life but none of them has impacted me like cheerleading.  It was the first tight knit group of friends I have had and we have all stuck together since fourth grade. Every year all of us have been on the same team, in my junior year of high school the team changed, no one was happy about it. We had a new coach and new girls. It really taught all of us how to cope with change and how to accept it. All of us had to try ten times harder to be better and practice harder to get back on the top after many changes on the squad. Anything that could go wrong, went wrong for a whole year. Before each competition someone sprained an ankle. It was the curse of the ankles all year. Two days before a competition our flyer sprained her ankle and wasn't able to compete. We had 48 hours to redo the entire routine and change the stunts. We barely pulled through. It was stressful and almost impossible to re-create a routine in two days. Somehow we pulled through and we walked onto the blue mat and got 3rd place. Cheerleading has taught me to be dedicated and how to work together with a group of people. Without cheerleading I don't know if I would be able to handle responsibility has well as I can today.

Cheerleading is an AMAZING sport whther or not some people believe it. It takes hard work and dedication just as football, basketball, tennis, etc......... and I am GLAD to see that it has proven great in your life and you will always remember it and wish you can go back. Thanks for the support too.:)
