I think that one of the most important things I could share with women regarding emotional health would be the importance of maintaining one's own identity within a relationship, and acquiring self-love. It's so easy to lose yourself inside of a relationship; especially one that is both happy and fulfilling. Trust your partner (this does not include his word regarding his sexual past; get tested before you engage in intercourse), love your partner and let them love you in return, but realize that you are the only person who truly has the ability to make you happy. When you realize that you, as an individual, have extremely high self-worth, others will be drawn to you. Learning to love yourself can, at times, be a difficult task. It is very easy to look in the mirror and point out a flaw (or many flaws)  we see within ourselves; we are our worst critics. It is also simple to hold past mistakes over our own heads. We have to learn to forgive ourselves for our mistakes of the past; consider them the lessons that have helped shape us into who we are in the present. The most fulfilling feeling in life is to have both satisfaction and love for one's self. Once loving oneself falls into place, the rest will, also.
