In my freshmen year of college I took a course on First Aid and CPR. In this class I learned that women are more likely to die from heart attacks than breast cancer. I also learned that, more women die from a heart attack than men. One of the reasons for this is that women tend to lack the more common symptoms associated with a heart attack, including chest pain or pressure. Because of this they do not recognise that they are having a heart attack, and therefore are less likely to seek or recieve medical attention. In light of these facts I believe that women must know about this, and learn the more common signs of a heart attack in the female population to decrease the high female death rate caused by heart attacks. I also think men should learn this, if not to save a women's life than to save their own because not all men will display the common symptoms either, they are just more likely to. The most common signs of a heart attack in women include the following:
Unexplained fatigue
Sudden unexplained anxiety
Unexplained shortness of breath
Unexplained indigestion
Pain or stiffness of the jaw
Unexplained lower back pain
Flushed skin
Unexplained sweating
Sudden dizziness

Kindness is an inner desire that makes us want to do good things even if we do not get anything in return. It is the joy of our life to do them. When we do good things from this inner desire, there is kindness in everything we think, say, want and do. ~~ Emmanuel Swedenborg

A study in the Washington Post says that women have better verbal skills than men. I just have one thing to say to the authors of that study: Duh. ~~~Conan O'Brien
