What do you do when everyone around you tells you that you are making the worst mistake of your life?  Well, if you are a teenager in high school, you will do what everyone tells that is going to be a mistake.  Of course when I hit my lowest point, there was that one person out there that told me that I had to follow my heart.  I was a senior in high school and got pregnant.  The majority of people who found out or who were told about my situation tried to talk me into having an abortion.  There was one woman who told me that there is no reason that I can't follow my heart and go through with the pregnancy, have the baby and raise a beautiful child.  Twenty-two years later I am so glad that I listened to that one piece of advice to follow my heart.  Things were not always easy nor were the all hard.  We had lots of happy times and lots of trials but in the end we grew up together and experienced the best life.  I had a baby girl who has grown up to be the light of my life.  Just to see her all grown up, married and to be expecting her own baby this fall makes all those sacrifices worthwhile.  I am so glad that I listened and had my baby.
