So many women don't trust themselves anymore these days. Stop for a minute and think: who knows your body best? YOU! If you think something is wrong then get it checked out! Don't wait until it's too late - it may be the final mistake you ever make. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 13 years old and I am beyond thankful that she knew her body well enough to ask to have a mammogram even though her doctors didn't think it was nessecary. She wasn't overweight, a smoker, in poor health or anything. And she still got this horrible disease. I'm so thankful she got mammogrammed because it pretty much saved her life. They detected the cancer when it was still in its early stages and she started treatment right away. The next few months were complete torture for my entire family. I had never seen my mom like that before. Weak and listless, sleeping was pretty much all she could do. I thought she was the strongest woman in the world and the grip the disease had on her terrified me. Thankfully, my mom is alive and well today thanks to modern medicine and her own intuition that something was not totally right with her body. I love her so much and I have no idea how I would live without her. I really hope that in the future nobody will ever have to go through what happened to me and my family. So please get tested for stuff all the time! And I'm not just talking about breast cancer. I mean anytime that you know something's not quite right. Any disease is heart-breaking. My best friends mom died of stomach cancer last year because it wasn't caught early enough. My friend is only 15 and now her family are in legal battles over her money and she's thinking about suing for emancipation. I saw her cry for the first time the other day ove this. You affect more people than you think so please please please think of your loved ones and keep yourself healthy. Get tested often and trust your instinct. Your body is your temple - treat it like one!

Kindness is an inner desire that makes us want to do good things even if we do not get anything in return. It is the joy of our life to do them. When we do good things from this inner desire, there is kindness in everything we think, say, want and do. ~~ Emmanuel Swedenborg

A study in the Washington Post says that women have better verbal skills than men. I just have one thing to say to the authors of that study: Duh. ~~~Conan O'Brien
