Ok, so just like virtually every other woman on the planet, I used to beat myself up on a daily basis because my body didn't look like that of a Victoria's Secret Models. This all began in 5th grade. I remember it like it was yesterday; my friends and I wouldn't believe what we were saying, we'd simply say it to hear us tell each other the opposite. Eventually we would talk about how much we hated the way we looked until we acutally believed it. I would look in the mirror and see that i looked absolutly nothing like the model/actress on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and I'd literally cringe and look away. I took somewhat extreme measures in order to be happy with the way I looked. One day I finally woke up to reality; IT'S THOSE WOMENS JOBS TO LOOK THE WAY THEY DO & EVEN THEY HAVE IMPERFECTIONS! NOT ONLY THAT, THOSE PICTURES ARE AIRBRUSHED, SO THAT'S NOT WHAT THEY REALLY LOOK LIKE IN REAL LIFE! I realized i couldn't keep living the way i was because I'd eventually destroy my body, and I'd already destroyed my mind. I just woke up that morning and I knew I had to make a complete 180 turn around. I decided to lose weight the healthy way, the WEIGHT WATCHERS WAY! Weight Watchers has changed my life in so many ways. It taught me how to eat whatever I wanted, but just a portion of it!  Its totaly not a diet, it's a new way of life. Eat WHATEVER you want, just in moderation. I started working out, and though it wasn't fast, I learned good things come to those who wait. My patience and determination paid off after i lost 15 pounds in 4-5 months. It was the most amazing feeling knowing I had changed my life in a healthy and productive way. Basically the moral of the story is, stop downing yourself because you'll get absolutly nowhere. The reality of it is that those woman on the magazines don't even look like that in real life. Their pictures digitally altered to make them look "perfect". If you feel like you need to lose weight, do it the healthy way by try Weight Watchers and I promise you, you'll love it! Slow and steady does it. Tell yourself everyday that it isn't an overnight thing. Hard work pays off. That doesn't mean you need to spend 3 and a half hours in the gym. If all you can do is a half hour of exercise, do it! Keep telling yourself this half hour is going to make me look amazing one day. Finally, keeping a positive attitude about everything you do will get you so much further than beating yourself up for something that completely isn't your fault. Love yourself for who you are!

Kindness is an inner desire that makes us want to do good things even if we do not get anything in return. It is the joy of our life to do them. When we do good things from this inner desire, there is kindness in everything we think, say, want and do. ~~ Emmanuel Swedenborg

A study in the Washington Post says that women have better verbal skills than men. I just have one thing to say to the authors of that study: Duh. ~~~Conan O'Brien

you are so right ive seen up close how models are drowned in a pound of makeup and then the pictures are touched up too! not one model picture out there is completely original, photoshop even makes some skinner so you never know whats real in a magazine.
