Have you been scolded by airport security for not using that ugly Ziploc storage bag? Were you over the 3oz limit on liquids so they confiscated some of your precious products? I have and NO MORE! With no end in sight to these security restrictions, what’s a girl to do?
Let’s face it, not all of us are "wash and go" gals who can wear no make-up at all and still look fabulous. I discovered at a young age that I am not one of those gals and never will be. We try awfully hard to look like we’re not trying and that can be exhausting. For some of us, make-up is not only something that can give us a little sparkle, but can be our best friend on some occasions. It can help us feel better about ourselves if we need to cover scars or imperfections that we may obsess over. It can have transformative powers to bring out different sides of our personality, or it can be a calling card for our individual style.
Personally, I’ve had medical crises for most of my adult life and have been hospitalized more than I care to remember. No matter what has happened though, my family and friends would visit me in the hospital and find me with some type of make-up on…even after kidney transplant surgery! Yes, I’m high maintenance but my motto is- you may feel like crap but you don’t have to look like crap too!
When traveling, with so many products in your bathroom drawers, bins, bags and purses, what are we supposed to pack? I like to pretend I’m low maintenance by sneaking my extra products into my husband’s bag. I need choice, I need color options and I don’t want to carry a heavy bottle of foundation with me on a trip! Well, its time to give our make-up a work out. With my Smashbox "Get up n’ GOrgeous" make-up kit / travel set idea, its all about choice. You pick the Smashbox products, the colors, and how many of each you want. Move your thinking away from messy palettes where your eye shadow ends up in your lip gloss and you always lose an applicator…IF it’s even included!!! With this set everything you want is there….including your liquid make-up or moisturizer!!! "Get up n’ GOrgeous" would be a small, light-weight set that fits easily into a purse or carry-on. The mirrored cover opens to a thin top section that holds 8 individually covered small compartments that can hold eye shadows and lip gloss. Each product would snap into place and have it’s own cover within the case. You can mix and match and can have more or less of a product. There are also 3 medium-size compartments for blush, powder and bronzer. Again, interchangeable. If you want two powders and 1 blush…its yours! There is a mini mascara in your choice of colors, 2 eye liners and a hidden section for brushes and applicators. Again…you can choose which brushes and applicators you need the most. The second layer reveals something that has never been done before! Three, individually sealed compartments that hold 1oz of liquid make-up each. You can choose from your favorite Smashbox foundation, primer, luminizer or moisturizer or get three of the same thing! There is also a place for extra storage.Once you arrive at your travel destination, you may wish to take just one shade of lip gloss with you for the evening. That’s still possible since they are all individually covered. Just pop it right out of the case. Quick, versatile, clean and simple and best of all there is freedom of choice!Companies are just beginning to realize that airplane-approved products are more important than ever and "Get up n’ GOrgeous" would really fill that void for Smashbox. Smashbox can make sure that we never worry at airport security again. Its time to get these high quality products to "Get up n’ GOrgeous" and get OUT of the bathroom product bin.

A new product line for Smashbox would be the "BIRTHSTONES" collection for eyes, lips, and nails and would have corresponding bath & shower gels whose scents would match the stone color. Ruby for July would have 4-5 shades of reds and the bath & shower gel would be reminiscent of fruity pomegranate or berries. November's Topaz would have shades of golds, bronze and brown and the gel would have the scent of amber or honeysuckle. This complete line would round out the existing Smashbox products we all love and can't do without.  These colors would also be available in the "Get up n' Gorgeous" set as well!

Holy crap woman I had to read your profile to see if you were already in the industry! I spend most of my money on airfare (I am an absolute travel addict) and YES weight/size limitations ARE ANNOYING! Don't get me wrong, I total understand why they do it, it's just I can never keep my baggage limits! I only wear eye makeup, but I am OBSESSED with eyeshadow (and lotions, and perfumes)! The 'choose & pop' option is wonderful! And what a way to hook a woman to a brand right? Might as well grab another 'Smashbox' pop-in when one runs out! FABULOUS!

Thank you guys for ALL your support! As you can tell, I have no postings so I'm pretty cold on the map up there so your votes have really helped this first-timer! Thanks again and I return votes as much as possible, even if I leave a small review sometimes! :)

I saw that you voted on my son Luke's campaign so I thought I would stop by and check you out. I am glad I did, your campaign is flawless and I love the part about sticking stuff into your husband's luggage-how cute!! Just so they don't think it is his right? Good Luck in your campaign, I believe you are one of the best out there. Thanks again for supporting my son, it means a lot and you have my votes & support for a FLAWLESS campaign..... :)
