Dreams are what makes that world go round—if it wasn’t for dreams where would be?
I have had many dreams in my life of things I wanted to do and accomplish, but now my time seems to be on hold because I not like most people, have a life timeframe that I am fully aware of and it’s always a query sitting in the back of my head that I really don’t know how much time I have here. But, I would like to think that I will beat my cancer and be able to focus on my dreams. My dreams for myself have now changed and are focused on my daughter to see her graduate High School, College, get married and have children. I would like her to know that no matter what happens I will always be there for her, I would like to make that promise that I know I can’t keep but I will figure out a way to let her know that I will always be there. My dreams are no longer what I want for myself they are what I want for her to see her succeed in a society that’s so uncertain at this time. What I dream of most right now is just to have more time in life to enjoy my family and give my daughter some wonderful memories. It’s not easy for me, my husband and family to go through, let alone a sixteen year old who has no siblings to rely on to help her cope with her problems in the future. That scares me, but I feel that I have taught her to be strong and take life as it comes and that we can’t change the past and have to move on with the future. I think that one thing she will always remember about me is that I have always taken problems on head strong, not only for us, but for family, friends, acquaintances and those in need. I hope that she will always have love in her life, good morals, religion and compassion. I feel that if you have those qualities you can conquer anything that is thrown at you!
Sometimes dreams can be the window of your future, so the next time you wake up from a dream maybe you should pay a little attention to what your subconscious is trying to tell you! My dream right now for my family would to be able to go on a wonderful vacation with my husband and daughter. Somewhere warm where we could relax and just have some quiet time and discuss whatever comes to mind without any interruptions in our lives. We haven’t been able to do that and it would be awesome for my daughter to have that one memory that will last with her for the rest of her life, that would be what I would want for her; to put a smile on her face and know that when she looked back at that time in her life she could remember her family together and happy! Every night I wish that our world would come together as one and I pray for the people that our less fortunate than us and hope that we can all have a better place to live in the future—big wish, big dreams for such a huge place, but who knows maybe someday it will be!
