I'm a sophmore majoring in Elementary education because I dream about making a difference in a childs' life. I think it's important to teach children to learn to love school, so that they can get the best education possible so they can go far in life. I have dreamt about becoming a teacher for so long because I want to be that person who gets to make a difference in a childs' life just by showing up to work each day. I also know that once my dream comes trues I know nothing could make me happier because I will have the feelingof knowing that I made a difference!!

What a truly remarkable person you are! To want to become a teacher is a such a rewarding experience that you will never forget. I see thru my daughter's young eyes her unbelievable desire to go to school every day and how much she loves her teacher. She is in kindergarten and if I could do it all over again I would definitely would be a kindergarten teacher. Good Luck to you in all you do and be the best teacher! =]

When you have a dream that is rooted in a true and pure belief, one that sets the needs of other above your own, you know that you are a born teacher. I too had that same dream and now gladly touch the lives of children, helping to shape their futures and give them through education the opportunities they would not have otherwise had. I wish you all the best in your career as a teacher! =)

I truly hope you land a job in a private school, because the bureaucracy and backstabbing of the public education system will turn your idealism into cynicism in less than a year. No matter how great your ideas, how talented you are, or how well your students do...there will always be an administrator who says it can't be done that way, fellow teachers with seniority making more than you who are simply punching the clock each day, and mindless requirements that take time away from teaching the things that really matter. So if you're ready to be devalued, dehumanized, and demoralized...you go girl.
