Inspiration can come anywhere. A simple song can be the source of your inspiration. A poem, your shoes, a movie, a book, or even your family, they can all be your source of inspiration. We have encoutered many stories and songs about struggles and accomplishments, they are very uplifting and inspirational. They affect us emotionally.

Some of the teenagers these days are affliated with gangs, and crews that brainwash them to have pride only for thier own crew. Crew members teach them to dislike and hate on other students because they look, act, and think differently. Being discriminated is a very painful thing to go through. It lowers your self pride and confidence that leads you to hate on other people and create violence and hostility.

A movie that affected me most is called
Freedom Writers. This movie is based on a true story of a teacher named Erin Gruwell who was portrayed by Hilary Swank. Mrs. Gruwell decided to teach in a high school located in Long Beach, California. The  school was known for its aggressive students and hostile environment. The students there have low scores on thier state tests and can only read books up to 5th grade reading level. Students in the high school didn't like each other. They hated other races aside from their own. Ms. Gruwell decided to teach in this kind of environment because she wanted to be challenged on her first year of teaching. On the first day, the relationship between the students and the teacher was indifferent but Ms. Gruwell forced them to treat each other nicely.

Due to Ms. Gruwell's devotion as a teacher to her students, she acquired a second job at a hotel to earn extra money to purchase reading books, and other materials for her students and for her classroom. Her husband questioned her about this, but she's happy with what she's doing with her career and what she's doing for her students. But her husband grew tired of her over devotion to her students and later divorced her. It was very painful to her, but the success that her students are gradually acquiring compensates her sadness.

The movie makes me appreciate teachers even more. Without them and without their passion to teach students, there would not be any future professionals in this world. This movie also inspired me to become a teacher one day. I want to change and see change in my students' lives. I would like to share them the things I know and I would like to be shared by my student's the things that they know. Just like Ms. Gruwell, she bought composition notebooks for her students to write in what they feel for that day and let Ms. Gruwell read it. I want to guide them and see them grow into full bloom people who will be able to make this world a better place to live in for the future generations. It takes a lot of dedication and passion to imitate what Ms. Gruwell did to her students, not a lot of teachers these days are willing to do that. When I decide to become a teacher one day, I would ensure my students would cherish the time that were together in the classroom. Thanks to teachers like Ms. Gruwell she was able to fix her crooked students.
