"A RICH MAN MAY BE WISE IN HIS OWN EYES, BUT A POOR MAN WHO HAS DISCERNMENT SEES THROUGH HIM" (PROVERBS 28:11).
George W. Bush may most certainly go down in history as the worst president ever. Why? Is it because those who disapprove of his terrible job in office are just angry and have no right to express their discontent with the downward spiral in which Bush has misled our nation? Maybe its our nation's domestic and foreign policies concerning the War in Iraq, our dangerous dependency upon oil, New Orleans/Disaster Relief, the issues concerning illegal immigration, the despicable bureaucratic red tape that prevents those who are in need from receiving proper assistance, or maybe its this current president's baffling disconnect with the EVERYDAY American citizen that is at the core of all of these important issues that must be addressed.
Well, I know it takes a practical mind to provide practical solutions to practical problems. This current administration is too concerned with corporate interests and bowing down to big business rather than the business and interests of the everyday American citizen. We need a person who is practical, has good principles, and who shows concern for the needs of this nation. A man or woman of THE PEOPLE. I am the common man, and I am an everyday person.
Who says you need to be some sort of rocket scientist in order to share a piece of bread with a poor person? Empathy is an extremely important quality to have as a good president. A president who knows, cares, and effectively acts upon what the American people need is more than qualified to lead you, the people. Whether its Brickfish, your hometown, your city, your state, the nation we live in, or even the so called free world, we would all like to have a leader we can trust. Are we not judged by our actions? America is supposed to be a republic right? A republic is a nation that is ruled by law right? So, its extremely important for a good president and his administration to not violate the laws of the land but to abide by them and to protect the wellbeing and rights of you, the people.
As your president I would not conduct myself in such a destructive manner as this current president has. Here's what I would do as your president, a president of the people. First of all, I would not have used deceitful propaganda to lead you into the middle of sectarian strife in the Middle East. Mission accomplished? No, the mission has not been accomplished at all. The lame duck president has worsened the situation in Iraq by adding fuel to a 1400 year old Sectarian fire in the Muslim world. Wait, so president elect George W. Bush was really going to bring democracy to a world nearly a millennium older than this nation? No, I don't think so. In fact, does anyone happen to recall the 2000 elections in the United States of America, and the controversy surrounding the voting count? Well how concerned for the spread of democracy was Bush then? There have been numerous scandals surrounding his administration including the outing of one of our own CIA agents. No, I don't think his concern was for democracy or protection of our citizens, but as your president I will provide for the wellbeing of our nation and not allow such corruption to take place.
People, I know this may be a very touchy subject, but in order to begin the healing process it is necessary for us to be honest with ourselves about the current situation in Iraq and the reasons behind why we invaded in the first place. Honestly, if Bush and Dick Cheney did not have such greedy and overbearing interests in oil, then would we even be in Iraq right now? My objective truly is not to debate with you concerning this matter but mainly to make sure we rely on commonsense to answer these questions rather than rely upon the lies you were told in the past. Big oil companies at home and abroad have our nation too preoccupied with the purchase and consumption of oil. Enough is enough; it is time for a change. This needs to stop!
Of course, we need to greatly decrease our nation's dependency upon oil. Here's how I would do it. Listen people, oil is not the most environmentally safe source of energy in the world. How many oil spills have we seen in the news? Approximately 6 tons of crude oil was just reported as being spilled into the sea today(12/7/07) off of the Coast of South Korea. How many helpless animals, birds, and other sea creatures have died as a result of these deadly oil spills? Also, how harmful is the exhaust from the burning of gasoline into the atmosphere? I would seek out a more natural and environmentally conscious source of energy.
Brazil is an excellent example of a nation that has greatly decreased it's dependency upon oil by using natural sources of energy. In fact, Brazil produces enormous quantities of ethanol from sugar cane, and contrary to what you may be thinking Brazil is one of the world's leading economies in this regard.
So, please understand that oil is not our only resort or really even a necessity Our nation really only depends on it, because those in power literally keep us dependent upon it due to their own financial interests. Oil is a crutch to the American society. It is a crutch being forced upon us by the likes of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and other “Big Oil” interest groups in order for them to gain enormous personal wealth, while you the American people suffer the harsh consequences.
I would initiate a domestic policy in which our economic focus shifts from oil to other sources of environmentally safe energies. I would work with the agricultural industry in our own nation and designate land specifically for the production of natural produce that can provide the United States of America with environmentally safe sources of energy. I would work with Brazil in order to gain the necessary information on how to make the transition from being so heavily dependent upon oil to ethanol as they have. They have great experience in this matter, so I would not allow our nation to be so arrogant as to not seek help in a matter that is so important to our citizens. Besides, ethanol is relatively easy to manufacture and process and is steadily becoming the major alternative to gasoline throughout the world. The motor vehicle industry is already adapting to this fact, and many more environmentally safe cars are being produced. You need energy to move right? Well, so does the motor vehicle industry need energy to move, and as your president I will use my influence to see that this change from oil to ethanol and other more environmentally safe energies increases.
As far as the deadly and misguided War in Iraq is concerned I would seek out a much more diplomatic solution rather than base this foreign policy on military force. Our armed forces have been spread very thin by this war, and 2007 has been the deadliest year of the war for U.S. forces. George W. Bush has placed us in a terrible situation. I would not shoot, kill, and bomb my way into a false since of victory. In fact, I would not place the lives of American citizens on the line in such a careless matter as he has. I would first of all respect the land and culture of the Iraqi people and not enforce imperialistic ideas upon them disguised as democracy. I would talk to them, listen to them, and get to the exact core of the animosity that is between us. I would not do this alone, but I would respect the other nations of the world and ask that they assist in this matter. This is a world problem, and it should not have been arrogantly placed on the shoulders of the American people by George W. Bush. I would not pull the troops out all at once, because I do not think that is wise at this point. I would make diplomatic negotiations with the assistance of the United Nations and would use other forms of economic leverage to have order exist in this nation. My focus would be on diplomacy not military force. It will take the COOPERATION of the world powers in order for us to remove our troops from Iraq. World leaders and diplomats dressed in suits got us into this war, and world leaders and diplomats dressed in suits shall carry the burden in getting us out, with major emphasis on diplomacy. Military force is not the solution.
As far as our domestic situation is concerned at home I would strongly enforce our immigration policies. It is not good for anyone to not obey the laws of the land. This is called lawlessness, and it is not good because regardless of the simply emotional rants of some people, illegal immigration is a serious security issue. The Mexican government and the police officials there have had major concerns with illegal drug dealers and the Mexican cartels. So, to sit back and allow illegal immigrants to just enter this nation undocumented is not safe nor is it intelligent.
Another necessary change I would bring as PRESIDENT would be to greatly enforce our inspection of foreign products coming into our nation. This is a major priority for the safety and wellbeing of our citizens, and I would treat it as such. I would put credible and responsible people in charge of upholding the standards of what we accept into our borders. I would not place greed above the health and wellbeing of the American people!
So, people if you vote for me and elect me your president these are the great changes I would bring about. I would greatly decrease our dependency upon oil, make diplomacy and not military force the priority in Iraq, greatly enforce border security holding everyone accountable to obeying the laws of this land, and I would see to it that our food and products being shipped here from foreign nations are safe before we accept them into our borders, distribute them to stores, and sell them to our American people.
For many years people around the world have been said to view Americans as being arrogant and lazy. Part of the problem is that we import so many of our products rather than producing them ourselves. As your president I would greatly stress that all of our citizens, from entrepreneurs, to the mom and pop stores, and to modest business owners focus on working with one another. I would also stress the building of factories in America so we could create more jobs right here at home. Decreasing our dependency upon oil will have a major influence on our economy. I will lead our nation and take great initiative in these matters. I would not appoint a presidential cabinet around me full of yes men and women. I want credible and responsible people around me who will get the job done for you, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!
This is a capitalist society. Trade and transactions are how WE make money and EARN a decent living. Unfortunately in the past we outsourced many jobs and imported many foreign products. Well, enough is enough. It is time to create MORE JOBS right here at home and to export goods. As your president this is what I will diligently work to accomplish. I am not perfect nor will I claim to be. I will give my all and do my best. People support me as I am supporting you. TOGETHER we will make a difference VOTE ME as your PRESIDENT. Thank you and GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
