Taking care of our environment is a job at which we are all employed. Sadly, like any other job, many of us choose not to fulfill all of our obligations.
Myself and a few of my associates at my Community College would go to the harbor at least twice a month to pick up trash. All items that were eligible for recycling were taken to the proper place. The proceeds were used to heighten the public's awareness of products that are made from recycled material. We also spoke about our efforts and made suggestions to our fellow students on what they could do to fulfill their responsibility to the environment. I buy items made with recycled materials whenever I can. That includes items we use on a daily basis.
