How does one describe a hero?  Strong.  Brave.  Victorious.   My hero does not fight in battles.  My hero awakes to a hard day of work.  My hero walks through each day and emerges victorious at the end.  That is what makes a hero.

How does one describe a hero?  Success.  Fame.  Fortune.  My hero is not rich or well-known.  She is rich in the important things of life.  She is loved by those closest to her, which is better than fame.  My hero has been successful in what is truly important… in relationships, friends, and lives changed.  That is what makes a hero.

How does one describe a hero?  Truthful.  Just.  Principled.  My hero does not save lives and destroy evil men.  She directs lives and keeps them from evil ways.  My hero speaks truth, even when it is hard to hear.  My hero provides justice for those who might not find it elsewhere.  That is what makes a hero.

How does one describe a hero?  Protector.  Life-giver.  Friend.  My hero doesn’t save countries or rescue people from death.  My hero protects the innocent from violence; the pure from defilement.  My hero gives life and sustains it.  My hero is a true friend to those around her.  That is what makes a hero.

How does one describe a hero?  Love.  Joy.  Peace.  My hero does not proclaim the importance of such values.  She lives them.  By being joyful in difficult circumstances, bringing peace to harsh situations, and loving in spite of it all, my hero is a true hero.

Do you recognize my hero?  She has strength to survive every day in a difficult world.  She is brave because she chooses to stay with her children to raise and care for them.  She is victorious because she has raised them well.

Do you recognize my hero?  She has been successful because she takes on new projects.  Some of them are easy, some difficult.  Through them all, she perseveres.  She is famous among those who know her well.  She is rich because she knows that family, friends, and a life well lived are better than money or things.

Do you recognize my hero?  She is always truthful, especially to those who are closest to her.  Sometimes it hurts and sometimes it angers.  But she will never stop speaking the truth.  She is just in her decisions for her family and fair in her judgments of others.  She stands on principles above all else and never compromises.

Do you recognize my hero?  She protects her children from the dangers of the world, but also shows them the good in the world.  She gives life to the body, but even greater, life to the soul.

Do you recognize my hero?  She loves continuously, even when life is hard and frustration mounts.  When everything goes wrong, she remains joyful.  She brings peaceful in the midst of many household disagreements.

Do you recognize my hero?  She is my mother.  She is a true hero.

Very well done, Brittany. I liked the "change-up," if you will, of inserting the three one-word descriptions in each paragraph. ~Peter

Touching, and something mothers deserve to hear!! (A brief inclusion of a specific story/ies, or something, would add a good touch!)

Just a little discombobulated, you are right about how obvious the identity of your hero is, but still, try a little less prose and a little more substance please.
