matt... it's pronounced "roooble" =] it's the basic unit of currency in russia. i thought it was a cool name for the typeface because my name (irina) is russian... i'm not of russian descent at all though haha

haha i'm sure your graphic assignments are great considering how amazing your fine art pieces are matt! you're right, this was a type class assignment... to create our own typeface... then create a book to showcase it... it was ALOT of work and nearly drove me insane, but overall i'm happy with it =]
