Invasion of the Mind!
Description:
Sometime in the not-too-distant future, an Earthling known as "Barack" will come to rule over the people of a free nation. He will then use the stupendous might of his kingdom, "Washington", to summon despotic powers from the galaxy "Communo". With this newfound puissant force he will conquer and dominate his greatest enemies; The Free, and The Brave.... ___________________ ____________________ ________ ________ Thanks for voting. Do not be distressed, this is a work of fiction. The concept was inspired by the propaganda that spread Cold War paranoia, and by 1950's sci-fi movie posters. Please vote, write a review, pass it on! thanks!

This is perfect! Your artwork sarcastically portrays how idiotic it is to become paranoid about an unknown future. "Communo" -- LOL. This is exactly the same propaganda as the cold war!! Maybe we should return to putting people on trial for being Communists like they did in the 50s!!! Some people need to read a history book or two and realize that how stupid it is to think our next president is a Commie!!

Even though I disagree with some of your political views I still appreciate the art if not the views behind it. I had no idea you were into art. Looks great! Good job, and I should know, my momma's an art teacher! LOL. -Naomi

Your entry was over 2 weeks later than the next guy in line, yet you STILL managed to move into 1st place. Bravo. Lets just see if the judges will actually be fair about it, or just vote according to their own political bias...

Let us also hope I'm not disqualified, as this is a (very overtly) work of parody, which allows it certain rights and immunities.

Very imaginative and unique. A bit against the popular grain, perhaps, but art, as social commentary, is that way.

I think it vas very inventive, you should do some more work on it and look towards turning it into a science fiction movie

Keep up the good work and creativity. I think your explanation is neutral and explains well the fact that it is only fiction. Well done!

and you should read one to see how his plans are communistic. he isn't a savior of the known people, he has proven to be an idiot (if you've actually listened to any of his speeches) and socialist(firing the CEO of GMC, a private company, involving government in private business isn't free market unless someone has rewritten the meaning of free market).

Those history books can also do some good in educating "some people" with regard to unquestioning loyalty, as well. Seig hail. If it looks like a commie, and it barks like a commie...

hey, i have had another opinion about those commies... in china of a milk product company upped the nitrogen level of there products killing several adults and many babies...they put the people in charge on trial and sentenced them to death. 8 people have died from eating peanut butter in the U.S. in the past two months and nobody has taken responsibility for it yet?

You mean, the same folks who throw their infant daughters into the river, so that they don't "waste" their allotted child on a daughter? Oh, God yes, why can't we be more like China?

No, the style was inspired by the 1950's propaganda films. The content is satirical, while at the same time, holding a great deal of reality. One of many reasons it deserves to be #1.

This is totally inconceivable. So totally possible and so likely (except to the masses and mass media) that it's dead on. Prophetic and ridiculous at the same time! Art to the max! And beyond description. The challenge is: "Give it 4 years and let's see what really is and what really ain't."

Thanks for asking! The idea is that this is a poster for a movie made some time in the future, looking back on event of the election and his term in office. I tried to capture the more extreme "apocalyptic" mentality of those who think Obama is the Antichrist. The point of it is to highlight the absurdity of mindless or baseless paranoia, as well as the phenomenal element of mindless and inexplicable loyalty to him.
