Thanks Jess, I would have also liked to have been on the other side of things but what can you do. Definately not my strongest sports photo but I thought these folks would find it "shutter stopping." Indeed I work for the Minnesota Daily and I hear the Bruin is a great paper. I also enjoy your photo, nice that you can see his eyes and nice crop work as well. With any hope a real photographer will be judging this thing and we wont get beat out by someone waterskiing.

I could use a good size nudge with my 'buddies on board' 'tailgate party' and 'who would your pet vote for' campaigns... if you like what you see, feel free to cast a vote and pass the word!

Seriously, I go on vacation and drop 20 spots... we'll see what happens here in the last moments of the competition. You're looking strong though!

daily check... I can't see why this isn't higher! The quality and action are superior. Look at the painting "Stag Fight at Sharkey's," I believe the artist is George Bellows. Early 20th Century American Ash Can School of art. The similarities in composition are staggering. Just occurd to me.

excellent work. do you shoot the old fashioned traditional way-- feeling the shot and catching the apex of action; or, motor drive/multiple shots?
