All the World's an Advertisement?
Description:
Giving a company free advertising for donating the most money to a theatre is infuriating. Sure, it rewards them for investing their money in the theatre, but it seems more like a gimmick to me. They're turning theatre into a capitalistic enterprise as best they can, even though theatre don't make nobody no money. But people forget that theatre is an art, not a business. Philanthropist theater-lovers donate to theatres whose vision they support. They don't donate because they're going to make back an investment, they donate because they believe theatre is important. For the private citizen, a name on a theatre is an honor, not an advertisement. Capitalism can leave theatre alone, thanks

They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.
