This image immediately caught my eye, standing out among the odds. The contrast is pleasantly abrubt and i'm intrigued by the planes of depth created by the wave or folding of the material of the shoe. Coverse shoes are such classic and timeless designs so in capturing such a well-known product the photographer reaches a broad range of viewers as opposed to a single target group. Avoiding your cliche converse sneaker photo and graphics, this extreme close up is a refreshing take on the visual subject; these effects parallel with the angle in which the photo was taken. Plaid patterns surrounding the logo, avoiding the typical black, softening and framing the logo while contributing a delicate balance in contrast and creating a focal point. The world is seen differently through the eyes of a photographer and this submition displayes a simple vantage point often overlooked by the world around our feet.

Converse should make this into a handkerchief or purse to match the shoes. I never realized how unique the logo could be on the plaid. You should send your picture to Converse. This is so cool in black and white.
