EVERYONE'S TATTOO HAS A SPECIAL meaning. FRIENDS, I think it's time that you know the STORY behind my ink. Some of my friends here, already do, as i told them privately. But now, i will share with all. I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THE INTENSITY OF MY INK AND THE REASON WHY I HAVE DEDICATED THIS HUGE PIECE TO THE LOVES THAT I LOST. On March 20, 1988, My fiance, Gil and I were roller skaing with our two Akitas. Gil was hit by a car, and died in my arms. A speeding car came directly towards us both as we, held hands and were roller skating down the street in Tarzana, California, with both of our dogs. He had Bakko, I had Isho. Gil and i seperated, as the car started to skid out of control because the driver hit his brakes and swerved crazily from side to side of the street. After skidding out of control, for a few 100 yards, the car ended up coming directly towards me! AT THE LAST SECOND, Gil came from across the street to save my life. He made one final effort to push me away from the car, but at that last second, the car turned away from me, and hit him. Gil and Bakko were dragged over 200 feet down the street. Gil bled to death in my arms. He bled from his eyes, his nose, his ears, his mouth, i couldnt even give him a kiss goodbye. There was TOO MUCH BLOOD. And when i tried to wipe it away, it kept flowing like a sink faucet. You see, Gil was hit in the head and stomach by the front of the passenger side of the car. As I held him and prayed to God for understanding, Gil's heart literally stopped beating. As i held him in my arms, i felt his heart STOP. My Akita, Bakko also died, he was choked to death by the leash when the car dragged them both down the street, together. MY ENTIRE TATTOO IS A TRIBUTE TO THIS GREAT TRAGEDY I HAVE SUFFERED. I still have the sweatshirt with the blood stains all over it. I'm not sure if anyone has ever had someone die for them, but Gil was my true SOULMATE. Dragons were always in our life, so the dragon on my leg is OUR dragon. Gil has left things for me and i always find reminders of him everywhere i go in my travels in this life. I'm sure if you wanted too, you can look in the archives of Tarzana's newspaper from that date. It was on the news and was a very tragic episode. I am still affected by their loss.
