Kristen Nelson Thibeault Personal Story
Description:
I started fundraising for breast cancer in 1994, after my cousin died at 36. My mother later died at 59. This picture was taken 4 weeks after my bilateral mastectomy at the Saks Key to a Cure. I was diagnosed the day before my 42 birthday, just after meeting with dear friends at Estee Lauder about the BCA and BCRFCure.org. Committed to continuing to live the life I've always dreamed of, I scheduled my surgery between Fashion Week in NY and a trip to Paris with 7 of my favorite beauty bloggers. Nice bookends to this chapter of my life, I thought. The smile on my face is from knowing I've lived my life well and that because of the help of BCRF, I am now breast cancer free. Please donate.

I am voting on all the pictures and stories. Anybody fighting any kind of cancer is a winner in my eyes. I'm 16 and have skin cancer so lets kick butt and find a cure.
