Life's Mastectomy
Description:
It is very dificult to me to talk about breast cancer. My Aunt Sonia was diagnosed with it 14 years ago. Since then the battle has been cruel and long. In the process they removed her right breast (mastectomy). The Chemotherapy deformed her right arm. In the treatment she lost her hair, she had problems with food, she suffered horrible pain.There where many bad days. But Breast Cancer is not just physical. Breast cancer gave her depression. Her life changed completely Since her diagnosis I started painting these woman with one breast or one of their breasts out.
