A Soldier's Scars
Description:
A soldier spends a moment alone, deep in thought out in the jungles. Inspired by stories of the Vietnam War, though I choose a more futuristic setting. Drawn in Adobe Photoshop 7.0.

This is a beautiful piece of art and I really hope you win with it. Your artwork has inspired me with my own characters, and I also love what I have seen of your writing. I hope to see more of your hard work, and to see your hard work pay off for you.

I commented on this on dA and I'll comment again. This is a wonderful peace. It deserved the DD over there and it deserves all it can attain here.
Who was the git that said comic artists weren't artists? Did they forget art's existance in humanity was the desire to tell stories?
Well I applaud you. You're fulfilling the purpose of art.

Deep concept and wonderfully executed style work to complement each other and make this piece both beautiful and thought provoking, an excellent work.

I really love this concept! And it is so well done. I think it reflects really well on what a soldier goes through. They never forget it. It changes them. Beautiful work :)
