I'll admit I was originally helping campaign for my one friend in this very competition until I read your entry. Your story is truly inspiring and I wish the best for you in all your endevours. Even if you don't win this realize your story has touched many a soul and in at least mine rekindle the fire of perserverance and drive I thought to long be dead. Anne, While I have never met you personally, I have followed your story through Facebook since you ran in last year's marathon. You have inspired me (and many others) with your story. While I do not have NF1 or NF2, I have been personally affected by someone very close to me, and like him, you are so determined and brave. You don't let anything stop you from realizing your dreams, and I hope the votes of me and my friends will help you realize yet another dream, winning the trip to Nike. Keep doing what you are doing, you may never realize just how much of an inspiration you are not only to people that know and love you, but those of us who you have yet to meet but love you just the same. I have Neurofibromatosis (or "NF" for short), which is not cancer (but can become cancer), but similar in many ways. I was born with the NF and will always have NF... until a cure is found! I now one very small tumor in my head, but the NF tumors usually grow very slowly, and it is stable... and I have annual MRI scans of head neck and back. May God Bless all effected by NF... and everybody else too! (to learn more about NF, see ctf.org or "google" it.) I pray that a cure will be found in my lifetime and that I will be able to continue running for many more years to come! ...time for a run and homework!
