Bella
Description:
Bella is my 2 year old Labradane, rescued from the Chesapeake SPCA in Virginia. At the time, Michael Vick's dog fighting had just been discovered and the various pitbulls were dispersed and held in all Hampton Roads SPCAs. Only 10 weeks old at the time, she was held in the same room as the pits. I can't say which was sadder to see, the mistreated pitbulls, or my puppy- emaciated, scared, and infested with fleas. She lives with me in Richmond now, where she likes to go for walks, play with other dogs at the park, and take up over half of my full-sized bed. She has been my best friend through some of the hardest times in my life (even when she was involved-I now own my second DSLR camera)
