Rock Star Boy
Description:
My two-year old son was sitting in one of those race car rides outside the supermarket. He was really hamming it up that afternoon. All of a sudden he made this serious rock star face. Even when I looked on the preview screen, I was in awe of all the things that went right for me to have captured that photo: the light, the background, the camera, my son, and the moment I took the shot. I also felt that I had been given a glimpse into his teenage years – and now I’m just a little bit scared.

I like the photos first and foremost because it is well composed and well lit. Secondly because you captured a moment of expression that as you say might be a glimpse into the future, but as a photograph simply captures both the simplicity and complexity of a young human being.
