Wedding Cake
Description: It isn't as hard as it looks!! I took regular Duncan Hines French Vanilla Cake Mixes for this. I baked 6 cakes in different sizes - 2 each of 12 in, 10 in, & 6 in. Layered them one size at a time, and spread my homemade frosting across it. Frosting is 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup shortening, 4 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla made in double batches at one time. Remember to double the quantites above. After spreading frosting on each layer, I pushed long dowels down the middle and re-spread the top layer a bit fix the hole. I just added fake flowers & metal hearts onto the side of the cake after piping on a simple flowered line. Enjoy!
