Profile Summary
There's not much to say, really. My name's Krystal. I live in Arkansas. I'm a high school senior. 

My passion is English--anything from diagramming to essay writing to literature. I enjoy reading fantasy and manga. I write a little here and there. Most of the time, I'm just sitting around on the Internet. 

Oh. And band. Yeah, band takes up another 50% of my life. I play oboe during concert season and pit during marching. This year it's xylophone.

Interests
General
Intellectually speaking... people interest me. Individuals in particular. I like to trace the influences that have brought them where they are today. Which parts came naturally and which parts were nurtured by their upbringing. Psychology and all that jazz. I like to see how people tick, basically. Myself most of all.

Dreams

I have those simple -but-not-simple dreams. Like meeting more people who make me feel complete, and who I can complete in return. Being a positive, sunshiney influence on the people around me. Learning how to live the way I want to. Being human .  

And, of course, academic goals. College. A Master's degree--possibly even a Doctorate--in English . Writing a book. Another book. After the whole Doctorate thing. Or before. You never know.


Music
I'm not big on music, actually. I stay in band for the people more than for the music, but I do like to listen to Rock . And soundtracks. Fruits Basket Four Seasons  is one of my favorites. Moulin Rouge .  Anna Nalick , who actually sings Pop, is another favorite because of her lyrics . Seether , Staind , Audioslave , Panic! At The Disco , and Chevelle are a few bands that I enjoy.

Movies
The Dead Poets Society makes me cry every time. Moulin Rogue , or Baz Luhrmann in general. Phantom of the Opera . And anything Fruits Basket . 

People
Individuals fascinate me more, because I find it interesting to explore the minute details that seperate one person from another. But to be more specific, I tend to take an interest in my immediate family, myself, my friends, and occasionally, some acquaintance who intrigues me. Oh, and the authors/directors  who create such mind-blowing stories. Natsuki Takaya, for one. Jacqueline Carey. Baz Lurhmann. John Knowles. I've often wondered what sort of people they would be.
 

Places
Thailand interests me, because my mom is pure Thai. Her father had two wives, and she lived on a farm with a whole bunch of siblings. She had to drop out of the 3rd grade to help maintain the family. Not long ago she bought a piece of land there, during one of her visits. She says it has fruits and mango trees growing on it, and she plans to build a summer home. So I'm pretty excited, even though it may be a while.
