Hello. My name is Sarah Gannon. I'm sixteen years old, was born in California, and have lived in Alaska for just about all of my life.
Now that we've taken care of intorductions, let's get down to business. I started this account because I have a message. A small one, but an important message nonetheless. It's simple for anybody, no matter what race, gender, religion, or age:
Get out into the real world, and live life like you were meant to!
Hopefully, through this site and other programs, I can help spread this idea through today's youth. Whether it be community service, traveling internationally, or simply tutoring a struggling student at your school, there are tons of different ways to help out.
So, what are you waiting for? It's time to start living.

General
In general, I love having a good time. I enjoy things like concerts, cooking, writing...you know, artistic stuff. I love to play music on my flute, guitar, and piano. I have a knack for picking up on languages, and I'm currently in Spanish 3 and Japanese 1. But don't get me wrong; I like getting my hands dirty, too. I always help out with yardwork in the summertime. We've been working on making our yard bigger and better, with flowers and nice shady spots to sit and read. It's a lot of fun to keep at it and watch it get nicer every year. And, with me being an Alaskan, I love fourwheeling and snowmachining.
One of my biggest joys in life is to help others. I volunteer at places, such as the local library or the dog and puppy rescue. I donate blood, I travel to get acquainted with different people, I stay environmentally-conscious. Anything to help anybody; that's what I do. And anybody else can do it too! It just takes a step, or a push, in the right direction.
And, on a random note, I love american football and rugby. Go Philly Eagles and NZ All Blacks! 
Dreams
I currently see myself enrolling at the University of Alaska, Anchorage for a year or two. Then I want to hit up Oregon State or California State at Long Beach. I also want to get some more overseas traveling under my belt.
I would love to major in Psychology, Biology, Foreign Languages, or International Studies. Broad, I know, but the list will get smaller as I get older.
Music
I love just about anything. Rock, classic rock, metal, hardcore, rap, classical, celtic, techno, indie, electronic, old jazz...everything but country. Other than that, I'm pretty open.
Movies
I like just about anything. From Fight Club to Harry Potter to Memoirs Of A Geisha. I watch movies when I have the time. An all-time favorite of mine has to be Pride And Prejudice.
People
I look up to people that never quit, past or present. People that try and keep at it will always get the best out of life.
Places
I love California, both the north and the south. My home state will always be my favorite. I also enjoy being here, in Alaska. It does get rather boring after sixteen years, but it's still beautiful. Lastly, I'm in love with my number two country, Australia. My favorite area there is in Queensland, with all the rainforests. It's totally different than anything I've ever seen.
