Profile Summary
I'm a little shy, but once I get to know you, that changes quickly! Sarcasm is my favorite form of humor, and I use it a lot. 

Just for some randomness: I'm near-fluent in Spanish. I can understand Portuguese, and I can speak and read bits of French. (I guess that makes me a polyglot!)

 
Interests
General
I love to learn, and I have 2 bachelor's degrees (one in Spanish, one in Public Administration). I'll be starting my first semester of grad school in Jan 2010, for an MPA. There's something about being in the classroom that makes me happy! When I'm not being nerdy, I like being outdoors in balmy Florida weather. I also like to exercise, bake yummy sweets, and I follow Auburn football almost religiously. War Eagle!

Dreams

My first dream (visiting Ireland) came true when my husband and I got married in September '09--we spent 9 days there for our honeymoon! My next travel dream is to see Japan someday. I've been interested in Japanese culture (especially the food!) for a while. Secretly, I'd like to learn to snowboard...it looks easier than skiing. But it's difficult to do since I live in a warm state with no snow!


Music
I'm one of those people who really does listen to "a little bit of everything," and you'd just have to scroll through my iPod to find that out. I really like a few genres, like jazz, rock and electronica. Here's a few of my general favorites: Daughtry, Owl City, Chris Botti, Chicago and the Zac Brown Band (saw them in concert in ATL two years ago).

Movies

I'm not a fan of horror/gory flicks. Here are my favorite genres: 

  • anime
  • comedy
  • animated stuff--yup, I like cartoon movies!  

People
 I prefer a few really good friends to a million acquaintances--I only have a handful of "best" friends from high school and college. I enjoy spending time with family (mine and my husband's side).

Places
If I had the time and money, I think I'd go absolutely everywhere!  Here are the places I've seen, and fallen in love with:

Kerry, Ireland
Nassau, Bahamas
NYC
West Yellowstone, Montana
