i'm 18 and i'm alive. i am a man and nothing more. yet i am so much more than that. i'm a christian, a christ-follower, a world-shaker. i am a son, a brother, a friend, a partner. i am a writer, an artist, a musician, an athlete. and i will be a revolutionary.
the "i am" is my all. he is my rock and my fortress. in him, i find truth and love and strength.
my family includes those who live in my household and those who truly seek God's face. they are my brothers and sisters. and we, together, are the bride of christ.
my friends are those who will listen and those who impart wisdom. my friends are those who care for me as family. they are those who will encourage me when i feel i have nothing left to give, and will rebuke me when my walk is not straight. they are men and women of courage, forgiveness, and self-control. they are those who continue the work of the Father.
my enemies are abundant. they are the scoffers, the insolent, the fools, the hypocrites. but my enemies are loved. they hate me for the one i follow. but i love them because of the one i follow. they are human and they are valuable. they are created beings just like me. they are worth dying for. and they are my field of ministry.

i've begun a movement called MANONFIRE. it is a choice and it is a challenge. it is a small group of men who have chosen to show everyone else what it looks like to be on fire for christ. to be alive because christ has given us life. to speak truth because christ has given us truth. to give hope because christ first gave us hope. this movement is that step that most people will not take. it is costly. it is difficult. it is lonely and we are few. but we are strong and we are dangerous. we are radical because we abstain from premarital sex. drugs. alcohol. pornography. lying. cheating. stealing. swearing. we go against the grain not with words but with actions, in public and private. we love the sinners, hate the sins and do not bind the two together. we believe there is hope for everyone. we believe God's grace is sufficient. but we know that our movement will always be small, our path always narrow. will you join us?
