Apparently some people DO read this, so I I apologize for its length...

My name is Amy. Duaimei is my Chinese name, it translates to be Amy D. I am studying abroad in China for a year. I am teaching English in Song Gang, and learning Chinese with University professors in Shenzhen.

Less than a week after I went to school, I found five kittens in a sealed box. I took them under my wing and gave three of them to my foreign friends, and kept two for myself. Their names are Maggie and Meigui (May Gway)*

About a month after I adopted the kittens, I found out I was accepted into grad school at USF.

Because of the program I am on, if I get a second job I will be deported. So I started to look for scholarships.

That's when I found brickfish. Everything I do here is for my two kittens.

When I get back to the US I can find a job and earn money for college, but, for now I need money to send my babies back to the US.

*About Meigui- by popular demand Archimedes' name has been changed to Meigui. My mom HATED the name Archimedes, and none of my Chinese students could pronounce her name. I decided on meigui which means 'rose.'

 I have also decided to give them middle names.

Maggie Hugs and Meigui Kisses.
