You ask as to any ideas... well, only the person(s) doing it would know (I know - call me queen of the obvious). The community thought is that it is someone's way of adversly affecting the campaigning of others. When I see which reviews are being voted down, it's generally ones that utter the word "support", so maybe it's a campaign against campaigning. Sometimes though, there is a review that is voted down that is a real constructive review with no mention of supporting, voting or the like. Personally, I'm not sure why anyone would desire to waste so much time on negative ventures, but hey - to each their own, I guess. So sabotage or loudly voicing an opinion or something else all together is anyone's guess.
Thx for the support Jake. It really does mean allot. Unfortunately popularity on the internet, rules out...Seems like I'm not the most "viral". I'll be voting for the people that I have been for days now and hopefully we can get something going in the right direction (I don’t know how much help I am though). Although creativity has nothing to do with this certain campaign, I have seen a few that are really well thought out, yours being one of them. Just keep your head up, because not all campaigns will be as strangely ruled out as this one. I think it's just a little beyond stupid that they are judging people on their popularity... in fact it’s a little unfair... but I don't make the rules. Wish I did sometimes... maybe then we'd all have an equal opportunity. Don’t get me wrong… I’m not saying that people don’t deserve the prizes they’ve won. They are all talented. We are all creative in our own right other wise we wouldn’t be here. But like you, I’m just a little upset that they are basing the winners off popularity and not creativity. Anyways… take care… as corny as it may sound… just remember life goes on. You’ll shine some time, I know it.
Oh and thanks for getting that comment out on your Pearl Jam entry, because I totally agree when it comes to trying to reach the top of ANY campaign. It is almost literally impossible to reach the top of a campaign unless you are the first to enter it... and you have to whore yourself in order to get votes. But there are a few that actually deserve their first place spots. Thankfully I realized that it pretty much pointless to try unless you whored yourself. So much so that I got so mad and quit trying for a long time. Anyways what I'm trying to say is that I agree when it comes to getting votes it's almost impossible to get anywhere unless you vote for EVERYONE. And that’s something I just can’t bring myself to do. That’s why I only vote for the people I feel truly deserve it anymore. So I guess what I’m trying to say is, your not the only one who feels that way. :)
