Profile Summary
Im a nice boy who doesn't like writing about himself in "about" sections...instead, I'll tell a tale: It begins on a train. The train was old and worn out, the seats had been replaced in the 80's, but the rest of the machine had been travelling back and forth on the same trip for 50 years. This train was used to anxious, touristic passengers, who so often would aboard it in Napoli, and exit at the Scavi Pompeii. The route was along the circumvesuvium train line, and it circled the infamous volcano Vesuvius. A group of 6 boys aged 17-20 aboard on a sticky mid July, one carries a ukelele. They find an area near the back of one of the cars and proceed to strum the petit and slightly out of tune instrument. Then, they add a beat. Then another beat in snycopation with the first, and then the tallest boy starts to hum a single note, it is not a particularly high note, nor a very low note...a midranged note, but it is in key. A boy holding a bright green suitcase adds a simple melody, it is beautiful, the notes effortlesly glide into one another and now all 6 boys are contributing in one way or another. The other passengers are akward and dissaproving at first, but once this has been going on for 8 minutes or so, they are hypnotized by this pile of sonic junk, that is amateur, but oddly charming and beautiful like an old dingy napkin dancing with the blow of the wind is beautiful. the train stops. Most of the passengers, including our musicians get off an proceed to the line to get into the ancient ruins of Pompeii. The price is 11 Euro's. the boy with the bright green suitcase is unhapppy about this, but reluctantly pays anyway. A good, educaitonal time is had. The End. ps. sorry that didn't go anywhere.
