My name is Lalida. I am 21 years old! I'm a Junior at Eastern Washington University majoring in Nursing. My goal is to get a Master of Nursing so I can become a Nurse Practitioner. I plan on joining the military after Nursing School. The two things that give me joy in life are helping people and traveling. I figure that will be the best way to do both! I'm great at making new friends & I'm not afraid to put myself out there. I love doing things that are outside of my confort zone and just pushing myself to be a better person. The first thing everyone notices about me is that even if I'm sick or not having a good day there's still a smile on my face. I've learned that having a possitive attitude not only bring good things your way but sometimes that smile or even simple things like a hug can make someone else's day as well.
I love to get involved in school. It's a great way to help people, as well as a great way to get to know your school and what it has to offer. As a sophmore in college I was a Community Advisor in my residence hall which was an awesome job! I was in charge of a whole floor of freshmen and I've gotten to meet so many amazing people. Life is hectic at the moment with my classes and just moving into an apartment for the first time but I am loving it!
Traveling is my passion. So far i've been to: Thailand, France, Italy, and Malta. One day I want to go to 3rd world countries and help people and especially children, that need medical care but can't afford it because I think everyone deserve to live a healthy life. It's something I'm passionate about growing up in Thailand and hopefully I'll get an opportunity to do something like that in my life time.
I have also recently gotten hooked on river rafting! I am basically in love with the great outdoors & everything it has to offer. This year I plan on going all out and doing those things that I was afraid to do before.

General
My favorite sports are volleyball, swim, and golf. Reading is addicting to me. If i start on a book that's interesting. I HAVE to finish it that day even if it's 5am. I love learning about different cultures. Partly because I was born in Thailand and after moving to the U.S. it was a completely new experience. 
Dreams
I want to travel the world helping people after I get my master of nursing. I've always dreamed of doing something that was greater than myself.
Music
I love all types of music, even classical. I use to play the violin in an orchestra. Right now I'm trying to learn how to play the piano and I love it.
Movies
I love the classics: 16 candles, The breakfast Club, The Goonies, Grease etc. Comedy is my favorite types of movies. I also love some chick flicks like P.S. I love you and The Notebook.
